Southern Charm



Homemade Peach Ice Cream

Ingredients
5 eggs
2 (12 fluid ounce) cans evaporated milk
1/2 pint heavy cream
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix 4 cups milk
15 diced peaches, mashed

Directions
In large mixing bowl, beat together eggs, evaporated milk, cream, condensed milk, sugar and vanilla. With a mixer add in pudding mix and beat/mix until smooth. Add peaches to cream mixture. Pour into freezer canister of ice cream maker and add enough milk to bring mixture to fill line. After mixing ice cream and peaches in icecream maker; pour into plastic container seal lid and freeze until firm.

Sounds yummy. My daughter works at an ice cream/produce stand where the homemade peach ice cream is wonderful. There is nothing that says summer like fresh peach ice cream. Carla

So true Carla! The ice-cream maker is churning right this minute and headed to make a sloppy garden grown tomato sandwich. ;-)

This photograph is simply gorgeous! And your recipe sounds scrumptious. I bet this down home country store where you took the picture of the peaches would LOVE to have a postcard of it with their name on it!

I've been taking photographs for many years, and I wish I took pictures like these. Including the beautiful fall lake scene. I want to live tHERE.
